Our US Foods cooperative contract provides a platform for purchasing power that enables our operation to optimize our procurement of goods through competitive pricing, with virtually no purchasing work on our end! No calling multiple vendors to secure the best pricing possible.

US Foods does all the legwork to drive savings directly off invoicing; helping us to control costs and increase revenues. The customer support that we receive and the commitment by the OMNIA Partners cooperative to help us to continue to maximize our revenue while offering innovative food concepts has proven invaluable to our dining operation.

Des Moines Area Community College utilizes cooperative contracts frequently because it allows the college to receive competitive pricing without committing the time and resources to an RFP process. After evaluating OMNIA Partners portfolio of supplier contracts, we have found value in multiple contracts for a range of services and products.

We will continue to use contracts in their portfolio due to the time savings and the money savings opportunities. The website is easy to use to search contracts and categories. Our representative collaborates with me to ensure we are utilizing the contracts effectively.

We decided to solicit bids for food supplies to ensure that we were getting the best prices considering that our Food Services Department is expected to generate revenue.  Though an extensive process, US Foods’ participation in the solicitation allowed the college to compare the OMNIA Partners pricing side-by-side to that of other participating vendors.  In regards to the college’s core items list, US Foods’ pricing was approximately 9% less than its closest competitor.  Furthermore, the college was able to confirm bid pricing accuracy when challenged to review actual costs six months into the US Foods contract.
