The Tidal Basin Group is a leading disaster preparedness and recovery consulting firm with comprehensive knowledge and experience in the areas of emergency and disaster preparedness, response, recovery, mitigation management and funding. Tidal Basin’s core services provide advocacy to clients for their government grant funding.
The firm was founded in 2007 by Daniel Craig, who headed FEMA’s Recovery Division under President George W. Bush. While at FEMA, Craig supervised the federal government’s recovery efforts on all presidentially declared disasters, including the Space Shuttle Columbia accident, the wildfires of 2003 and the devastating hurricane seasons of 2004 and 2005.
Tidal Basin has helped federal, state, local government and private sector clients identify and achieve their emergency management and disaster recovery goals. Few if any firms can match Tidal Basin’s integrated knowledge of the preparedness, response and recovery resources available from federal disaster relief and emergency management agencies such as FEMA, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the National Resource Conservation Service and the Department of Transportation.
In 2016, Tidal Basin expanded its scope of services and geographical reach by joining with Adjusters International (AI), the nation’s leading public adjusting organization. From terrorist attacks to hurricanes, explosions to earthquakes, fires to floods, AI has been helping clients recover from disastrous property losses since 1985 and has also provided expertise, advocacy and service to eligible public and not-for-profit entities seeking recovery through FEMA’s public assistance grant programs.
Adjusters International and Tidal Basin are now one organization — peerless in its ability to provide a Total Solution® for disaster preparedness and recovery, whether the need involves government grants or property insurance claims.
Our disaster preparedness and recovery services are provided under the Tidal Basin name. Our adjusting services continue to be delivered by our licensed regional public adjusting firms, under the Adjusters International umbrella.
U.S. Communities and National IPA, both wholly-owned subsidiaries of OMNIA Partners, have come together as OMNIA Partners, Public Sector. All public sector participants already registered with National IPA or U.S. Communities continue to have access to all contracts, with certain exceptions, in the portfolio and do not need to re-register to use a legacy National IPA, legacy U.S. Communities, or new OMNIA Partners contract. U.S. Communities and National IPA remain separate legal entities and lead agency contracts completed under each brand are effective and available for use through the contract’s approved term. In the event we believe re-registration is necessary for any reason, OMNIA Partners will let you know.
