St. Paul Linoleum & Carpet Co. is a 3rd generation family owned business with over 75 years of experience specifying, furnishing and installing floor covering throughout the continental United States and reaching into Canada and Puerto Rico. Our experience with a broad range of general contractors, corporate end users, institutions, hospitality and healthcare facilities has given our company a diverse customer base allowing us to successfully undertake a wide spectrum of flooring projects. Since 1938 we have installed nearly every type of floor covering under every condition. We have learned to anticipate problems to avoid costly delays. This has proven valuable to those placing their trust in us.
Salespeople are both estimators and project managers. This complete sales operation offers our customers efficiency and provides continuity to facilitate timely completion of the most detailed and complicated projects. The average years of experience among our project management staff is over 15.
Highly trained crafts-persons make up our installation department. With extensive experience and knowledge of commercial floor covering products, many of our installers are true artisans. In addition to our apprenticeship program, our installers are required to receive continuous training and education on new product introductions and methods of installation. By employing our own installers, we can react quickly to construction changes and successfully meet the scheduling needs of our customers.
St. Paul Linoleum and Carpet Co. is a leader in the responsible use and disposal of our products. Nationally 90% of all carpet ends up in a landfill. We began diverting carpet from landfills in the early 1990s. In 2014 we diverted 866,020 lbs. of used carpet from landfills by utilizing waste-to-fuel energy facilities and recycling as the technology emerges. Furthermore, we promote products with post-industrial and post-consumer waste content.
Whether by recycling consumables such as cardboard, paper, glass and cans or retrofitting our warehouse lighting, as a member of Minnesota Waste Wise, we continually look for ways to conserve resources.
The indoor environment is equally important. We can help answer questions and prepare proposals that minimize the exposure of your employees to VOC’s, off-gassing and other environmental issues associated with indoor air quality.

U.S. Communities and National IPA, both wholly-owned subsidiaries of OMNIA Partners, have come together as OMNIA Partners, Public Sector. All public sector participants already registered with National IPA or U.S. Communities continue to have access to all contracts, with certain exceptions, in the portfolio and do not need to re-register to use a legacy National IPA, legacy U.S. Communities, or new OMNIA Partners contract. U.S. Communities and National IPA remain separate legal entities and lead agency contracts completed under each brand are effective and available for use through the contract’s approved term. In the event we believe re-registration is necessary for any reason, OMNIA Partners will let you know.
