School System Improves Procurement Process While Minimizing Costs

Being a small school system comes with challenges but purchasing large quantities of materials and products doesn’t have to be one of them. A public school district in the Mid-Atlantic region was responsible for the procurement process of multiple items to maintain the health and wellness of their facilities. With four schools in the system consisting of 600 students, the district's staff discovered that purchasing quantities of essential janitorial and sanitation materials was a lengthy, expensive, and resource-intensive process. 

District Realizes Need For Efficient Purchasing Solutions

The school district was looking for a way to streamline its procurement process. Previously, the school was purchasing from private label vendors, but it quickly became a costly expenditure year-after-year. The school system's staff realized they needed an efficient purchasing strategy that would deliver cost-effective solutions.

Cooperative Helps Decrease Spending 

After evaluating their options, the district decided to reach out to their local Network distributor for assistance in purchasing janitorial supplies. With the help of the distributor, the school system was introduced to cooperative purchasing organization OMNIA Partners. Through OMNIA Partners, Public Sector, the district was able to utilize a national cooperative contract that was competitively solicited and publicly awarded to Network Distribution. The contract helped the district decrease their spending and secure name-brand janitorial supplies for less than what they had previously been paying for private label products.
